KARA Profile

Summary: KARA was originally a four-member group that debuted on March, 29, 2007.  However, in 2008, Kim SungHee had to leave the group due to parental pressure, and two new members were added in: Goo Hara and Kang JiYeon.  After adding in the new members, they got a change of image and they also witnessed a rise in popularity.  In 2010 they had a hiatus in Korea, instead doing promotions in Japan.  It was announced that this year the group members will work on solos and it’s reported Nicole is already working with a famous singer on a collaboration.  In early 2011, there was a dispute among three of the members and their company, but they decided to discontinue the lawsuit, as it got resolved on April 28, 2011
